PRESIDENT OF THE COUNCIL OF MINISTERS

Truth and Reconciliation Commission Members Appointed

SUPREME RESOLUTION
438-2001-PCM

September 5, 2001

WHEREAS:

Supreme Resolution 101-2001-PCM, amended Article 4 of Executive Order 065-2001-PCM, pointing that the Truth and Reconciliation Commission is sits twelve members of acknowledge ethics, prestige and legitimacy who are identified with the defense of the constitution, institution and democracy who are appointed by the President of the Republic by means of a Supreme Resolution, with approval of the Council of Ministers;

That it is necessary to appoint five members to complete the Truth and Reconciliation Commission plenary in compliance with Executive Order 065-2001-PCM, amended by Executive Order 101-2001-PCM and Legislative Decree 560;

With the approving vote of the Council of Ministers;

WHERE OF:

Article 1.- The following members are appointed to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission:

- Monsignor José Antúnez de Mayolo Larragán;
- Mrs. Sofía Macher Batanero;
- Peruvian Air Force Lieutenant General (r) Luis Alfonso Arias Graziani;
- Mr. Rolando Ames Cobián; and,
- Minister Humberto Lay Sun.

Article 2.- Monsignor Luis Armando Bambarén Gastelumendi shall participate as an observer in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.

Article 3.- This Supreme Resolution will be confirmed by the President of the Council of Ministers.
