(ARGENTINA)
A General Chief of Staff (1992-1999), he was also a military
observer for the United Nations in the Middle East Conflict
(Sinai) where he received a medal “In the service of
peace”, given him by the United Nations. During the Falklands
War, he was Chief of Campaign Artillery and was declared awarded
the Military Merit by the Congress of the Nation. On April
25th, 1995, he made a public declaration to acknowledge the
responsibilities of Argentina’s Army in the so called “Dirty
War”.
He wrote “I certify. Memories of an Argentinean General.” He
was co-author of “Independence”, “Land Operations
in the Falklands”, “One Hundred Years of Democracy”, “Reflections
of a Chief of Staff”, “Archives of the Present”, “Military
Function and Democratic Control.” He has collaborated with
different press media (El Clarín, La Nación) on
topics related to Human Beings, National Defense and International
Politics.
